Tony Howeth, Pastor
Pastor Tony Howeth and his wife, Stacey, have served the Lord in full-time ministry for twenty-two years. Pastor Tony was saved as a teenager, at Lexington Baptist Church in Lexington, GA. He later became Youth Pastor at Whitfield Baptist Church in Dalton, GA. After eight years of ministry as Youth Pastor the Lord called he and his family to Pastor Bemiss Road Baptist Church in Valdosta, GA. During this time God blessed in a mighty way, but Pastor Tony felt the Lord calling him in reaching the world as a missionary. He served the next several years as Deputation Director for Macadonia World Baptist Missions. In 2011 God called he and his family as Senior Pastor to Newton Baptist Church. Pastor Tony is known as a friend to many, with many young men’s lives touched by his ministry. If you are around Pastor Tony for just a short time you will see his passion not only for his God but for others.
Pastor and Mrs. Stacey have four children: Seth (23); Lauryn (21); Ethan (19) and Camryn (16).
Keith Gooden, Music Director
Bro. Keith and his wife, Kim, have served the Lord in ministry for over thirty four years. In March of 1967, at the age of nine years old Bro. Keith met the Lord. Bro. Keith has been used mightily over the past many years, in which he started leading music at Second Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Alabama in the year of 1977. In 1978, he felt the Lord calling him to Bible Baptist Church in Ellijay, GA where he served as the Music and Youth Director. Bro. Keith is known for being a mentor to many young men and women, with an outstanding ability in leading Music. Bro. Keith has been a part of several great ministries through the years. He and his wife are a great assest to Newton Baptist Church, where he has been serving since 2001. Bro. Keith is not only a great Music Director but also a student of the Word of God.
Bro. Keith and Mrs. Kim have one child, Kyle Gooden. Kyle and his wife (Amanda) have one child and are off to a great start as a young family.
Beau Carpenter, Associate Pastor
Beau and Lauryn Carpenter joined the Newton team in April of 2017. Beau’s passion is to help people know and follow Jesus. Previously, he served as pastor of an Atlanta area church for three and a half years. When Beau is not serving in ministry, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son.
